Over the years, the Aviation program has been instrumental in various aviation research initiatives such as engine design, pilot training and performance, and glass cockpit design.

Today, The Ohio State University Center for Aviation Studies (CAS) is a leading center for aviation related research, education, and scholarship.

Research at the CAS is funded through both federal grants and industry support.
