Summary

I am a former web designer and software engineer turned entrepreneur. My alma mater is New York University, where I earned BS degrees in Marketing and Graphic Communications Management & Technology. In my career, I have worked for companies such as Yahoo!, TripIt, CBS, Ernst & Young, and Viant. I’ve held roles such as a prepress operator, web designer, frontend engineer, technical manager, and product director.

I am the co-founder of edshelf, a directory of websites, mobile apps, and desktop programs that are rated & reviewed by parents & educators, for parents & educators. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the world by making education more efficient and effective. This mission is the culmination of nearly a decade of dreaming and scheming.

In 2008, I cofounded the web development agency WebMocha with a group of former Yahoo! software engineers. Our clients include corporations like Yahoo!, Google, MySpace, Mozilla, comScore, Scripps Networks, and startups like MOG, ideeli, Live Gamer, Sococo, Boxes and Arrows, and The Savvy Source.

I also co-founded a couple of other startups and am an advisor to several others, formally and informally. And sometimes, I build wacky apps like CSS Humor, HTTP Status Dogs, and Web 2.0 Ipsum.
