Thank you for reminding me about Zero Hour, a show whose preview I thought I had hallucinated in the grip of a flu-borne fever. Also, wait, Revolution hasn’t been cancelled yet?

Are you kidding? Revolution was a moderate hit for NBC. It’s almost certainly getting a second season.

The Americans is, as mentioned, very enjoyable… But HOLY GOD does it seem like the writers didn’t do any research on Soviet history at all.

@Bob Mike

To be fair, most Soviets probably didn’t know their real history either.

Huh, learn something new every day. Last time I bothered checking the ratings were trending downwards but I guess they managed to pull’em back up somehow. Maybe they’ll use the second season to get some actual characters.

I think I watched a different the Amerikans than everyone else. Because first off, the rape as character motivation for Keri Russel. Then the whole husband taking violent revenge for same fixes their strained relationship. And then even ignoring all that, you’ve got a member of the FBI task force set up to look for Secret Commie Spy families MOVING IN ACROSS THE STREET from the Secret Commie Spy Family…

I got a feeling Survivor: Caramoan is going to suck on ice. Few of the returning players were good in their first go-round. Cochran was irritating, and he couldn’t figure out a way to stay in the game after turning on his alliance. Phillip was a full-on Section 8 case in his season . . . but with Brandon around, he might not be the craziest person there. Also, nobody from Redemption Island deserved to come back, since most of them handed Rob Mariano $1 million.
