Using In-Game Chroma-Key or Green Screens

The green screen is an object with an easily replaceable texture. Unlike creating a mod, you can replace this texture in-game with either a still image or a video clip.

Using Video Clips on the Green Screen

Video clips can be displayed on the green screen using the in-game recordings (.GCV format) or standard .AVI files imported into the Media Folder.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Formatting and sizing of the .AVI files to work and look good on the different sized green screens is the responsibility of the user and beyond the scope of this help page. Nonlinear editing systems and or transcoders like handbrake.fr may be helpful to format AVI files correctly. All AVI files are not exactly the same as different transcoders may change some data in files affecting their display and playback, so no guarantees that an AVI will display properly or not crash the application if incompatible.

COPYRIGHT NOTE: Video content used on green screens in game and/or recorded from in-game must not violate any copyright holders rights and be used within the guidelines provided in the TOS. Members are asked to report violations of copyright or intellectual property. Violations will be acted upon, and continued violations by a member may cause banishment. Any DMCA notices received about any content being used illicitly will see content immediately removed no questions asked. Note: This applies mainly if you are planning to share recorded video of your scenes.

Working with Video clips is similar to PNG files once in video clips are in correct format:
