The Oak Ridge National Laboratory's (ORNL) Power Electronics and Electrical Power Systems Research Center (PEEPSRC) performs research in the areas of power electronics, electric machinery, and power systems.

Research at the Center has dramatically advanced the technology of advanced inverters, DC-DC converters, motor control techniques, efficient, compact electric machines, and high voltage, high speed power systems.
