We are very sorry for all the silence for so long.....Devics are in a bit of a half sleep at the moment. Sara and I are both working on our solo projects that
continue to keep us busy. Sara has just released an EP entitled " The Young Eyes EP" and a full length album due out in Feb on Nettwerk. It came out beauitful and you should go now and listen...myspace.com/saralov

But we did find some time earlier this year to contribute a song to very cool Cure tribute record put out by American Laundromat Records. It also features tracks by Dean and Britta, Wedding Present, Tonya Donelly and others..go check it out!

As for me...I have a film coming out in February called " An American Affair" starring Gretchen Mol which I did an original score for. The score was recorded in Milan and hopefully will be released this year..also I am working on my third solo record which I can safely say is about half finished.

so we are keeping busy!...and we thank you for visiting this page....we hope to have more news and promise to keep this more updated..

It's been way too long since our last update... Do you miss us? we miss you...
Dustin & I have both been busy working on our solo projects but we are planning to start writing together this summer.
Meanwhile, if you haven't already heard I (sara) have been working on a solo record produced by Zac Rae. In addition to Zac & myself there are some wonderful musicians playing on it - Ed Maxwell, Michael Jerome, Aniela Perry, Joel Shearer, Cedric Lamoyne and of course Dustin O'Halloran.

I just released "three songs" a little taste of what's to come. It is limited edition and all the artwork was hand made by me, if your curious about it check out my website:

or

for the latest in Dustin's world go to dustinohalloran.com or myspace.com/dustinohalloran

We've just uploaded our brand new video for "Salty Seas" Directed by Vatche Boulghourjian. It's the second in our slow but evolving 'no budget video project'. Vatche, our long time friend and renegade film maker has sent us this beautiful piece of work. The fact that it was filmed in his home town of Beirut just before the conflict started gives it a triple punch to the heart. Go now to the video section to see it! If our website is not cooperating, try watching it on myspace.com/devics

Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows. We will miss the Black Heart Procession...A joy to hear their music every night and some of the best fella's we know.... Scott Mercado who filled in for Ted Liscinski on bass, guitar & keys & Joe Plummer who added 2nd drums on a whole bunch of songs. Dustin lost a finger nail on the first day of tour while loading gear into the bus. We thought it would end the tour before it started but he drank some whiskey, dowsed it with paroxide, stuck the nail back on and wrapped it with a band aid. Like a true pirate. We hope to see you again this fall with more dates on the west coast.
xoxo.

Another sunny day in California and maybe too sunny...does anybody have an air conditioner?
I should have kept a tour journal. Here's what I remember most...
We shall never forget the carpeted walls of the hotel in Strassburg. They were red and velvety.

Luxembourg is beautiful. We stayed in the rooms above the club and woke up to find ourselves locked inside. Maybe they loved our music so much they didn't want us to leave. Ever. It was a fine place to be imprisoned. A bar after all, we helped ourselves... we learned how to use the fancy coffee machine-kind of- I think we may have broken it. We decided that if by 2pm nobody saved us we would have to eat Carlo. By 11am we were freed. The promoters came full of apologies and something about a maid coming in to clean in the morning and not realizing that anyone was upstairs...and locking the door behind her when she left.

Ravenna was a great way to end. And then it was back home for some shows with our full band on the West Coast with Sea Wolf. If you haven't heard them yet you should.... www.myspace.com/seawolf
We also played on KCRW and that show is archived. Unfortunatley the video feed is still not up yet but you can listen to it here:
www.kcrw.com

Now we are gearing up for the Black Heart Procession tour that starts next week. Hope to see you there!

Howdy. After lots of driving and playing we've finally been able to rest for a few days. The Hope of the States tour was great fun. They were wonderful people, extremely kind and by the end of the tour They asked Sara to sing with them on their song "church choir".

Playing with Simon was unbelievable. He is so incredibly talented and a great friend. If we could go back in time and tell our teenage selves that we'd be sharing a stage with Simon Raymonde of the Cocteau Twins we wouldn't have believed it. He may come along for more of the European dates.

The no-budget video project is coming along nicely. We've already seen the first finished one and it's beautiful. It was done by our friend Marco Morandi for "a secret message to you". As soon as we get a copy we'll post it for you to see.

If you live in the US and want to see a live devics show....we have some very good news to share with you but not yet....we are waiting for confirmation...it's almost for sure...98%...and it's really good...We promise... Soon...
