Free Webinar!
EDTech Open Webinar Series

In the first of our two-part webinar series, we discussed the motivations, business models, and monetization strategies that are driving today's MOOC resurgence.  You can download a recording here: The Future of MOOCs

In this second session, we will drill further into the pedagogies and social modalities that are driving the design of today's MOOCs. We will outline core functional and technical requirements for an effective MOOC platform and discuss the best practices for building and deploying your MOOC.  As part of this discussion, we will review several MOOC platforms that have emerged in the open source and commercial market, and evaluate the benefits and issues with the various approaches.  Lastly, we will look into the near future and the emergence of Massively Open Online Networks (MOONs), which seek to go beyond the limited course centric models (aka "read this, watch this, take this quiz").
