Special Events & Programs

Black & Gold Days (for all students)
NKU's Open  House program, we hold two every fall!  Talk with faculty.  Meet current students.  Tour campus.  Get the facts and a taste of campus life!   

Presidents' Day Visit (for all students)
This program is held on Presidents' Day every year.  The program will include a presentation on admission to NKU, the scholarship and financial aid process, followed by lunch on campus with faculty and staff from all departments, and a student guided campus and housing tour.  There's nothing we won't cover on this visit!

Accepted Student Days (for accepted students only)
Need a little help making your final college decision?  Wondering how you’ll fit in at NKU?  If so, you are invited to Accepted Student Days.  This event is for admitted freshmen and their parents who want to learn more about NKU before confirming their enrollment. 

Welcome Wednesdays (for students going into their senior year)
This program is designed just for 2013 graduates.  Plan to visit our campus during your summer break and bring your parents along to learn more about NKU.  You will have lunch with faculty, meet current students and tour our modern campus.  Programs are offered on select Wednesdays from June through August. 

Sophomore Showcase (for high school sophomores and their families)
This program is designed for students and their families who are just beginning the college search process.  The program will help you learn important steps to prepare for the college search  process, hear about NKU and the most in demand majors and careers, visit with students, and enjoy lunch on campus.

Spanish Norse Day Visit: Sesión informativa en español
Visita el campus universitario y conoce cómo es la vida estudiantil en NKU. Les ofrecemos a los estudiantes latinos de escuela secundaria y a sus padres la oportunidad de visitar nuestro campus y conocer sobre el proceso de admisión y las oportunidades académicas y de desarrollo personal que distinguen a la Universidad del Norte de Kentucky. Este programa consiste de una sesión informativa EN ESPAÑOL sobre nuestra oferta académica, proceso de admisión, oportunidades de becas, ayuda financiera, servicios de apoyo a los estudiantes, un recorrido de nuestro moderno campus impartido por nuestros estudiantes bilingües (opcional), e información de nuestra Oficina de Asuntos para Estudiantes Latinos. La visita dura aproximadamente 2 1/2 horas.

Ofrecemos una sesión en español en el semestre de otoño y otra en primavera.

This is an opportunity for Latino high school students and their parents to visit campus and learn about the admissions process and the academic and personal development opportunities that distinguish Northern Kentucky University. This program consists of an information session IN SPANISH about our academic offer, admissions, scholarship opportunities, financial aid, student support services, a walking tour of our modern campus (optional), and information about our Office of Latino Student Affairs. The visit lasts approximately 2 ½ hours.

We offer a Spanish Norse Day in the fall semester and another one in the spring.

 

Reservations are required for all of our visit programs. 

You can schedule your visit online or call our Welcome Center at (859) 572-1400 or toll-free at 1-800-637-9948.  You will receive a confirmation letter, including directions to campus and a campus map via email once we receive your visit reservation.
