The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), one of the Family Engineering program’s development partners, offers educational resources through its K-12 outreach program, “Engineering, Go For It” (eGFI).
eGFI is designed to introduce K-12 students, particularly young women and minorities, to the exciting world of engineering and technology. Its lively print and online publications can be used in the classroom, by mentors during after-school programs, and as handouts as a part of outreach efforts like Family Engineering. Other educational resources include colorful cards that explain the top engineering disciplines, engineering posters, and a new rhyming book for early learners titled “If I Were an Engineer.” ASEE also maintains a fun and interactive eGFI website, with a section for students and another for teachers.
