Five years ago, our state took a big bipartisan step to cleaner energy and a stronger economy, proving that we can create thousands of jobs. But our work is not done. Now, we have an opportunity to take the next big step forward – transitioning to clean, renewable energy like wind and solar power, increasing energy efficiency, and making it easier to generate local power. We can’t afford to wait. We must promote clean, renewable energy, [...]

Thank You Governor Dayton

Tonight Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton gave his 2013 State of the State speech.  We are thrilled to see that he has taken a strong stand for a clean energy economy.  Thanks to all those who called and wrote to the governor to encourage him to do so! “No one can endure the severe droughts or floods of recent years or our milder snow-scarce winters without being greatly alarmed. If you’re not, talk with my good [...]

Nineteen Hours and Forty Two Minutes.

Nineteen hours and forty two minutes of reading, small talk, fidgeting and eventually, for the lucky ones, snoring. On Saturday, February 16th, I boarded a bus, bound for Washington DC to participate in a climate change rally. There were 187 Minnesotans in all, united in our opposition to the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
