The request was successful.

From: David Mery

Dear Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime,

At the 2011-11-24 MPA full authority meeting, Commissioner Bernard
Hogan Howe promised to produce a report of the policing of the
United Families and Friends Campaign (UFFC) march which happened on
2011-10-29.

This was minuted as follows: 'Resolved – That the question be
received and the MPS report to the Januarys Authority meeting on
its review of the policing of the UFFC march.'

Can you please provide all recorded correspondence between the MPA,
MOPC or MOPAC (as the organisation has been known between the full
authority meeting this item was agreed and now), and the MPS
concerning the promised investigation into the policing of the 2011
UFFC march.

Yours faithfully,

David Mery

Dear Mr Mery

Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for
information about the 2011 UFFC march. Your request was received on 20
August 2012.

You asked:

…..Can you please provide all recorded correspondence between the
MPA, MOPC or MOPAC (as the organisation has been known between the full
authority meeting this item was agreed and now), and the MPs concerning
the promised investigation into the policing of the 2011 UFFC march.

I have attached three documents to this email in response to your request:

     1) Email trail MOPAC-MPS - 20 June 2012 – REDACTED

     2) Email MPS-MOPAC – 2 July 2012 - REDACTED

     3) Report for MOPAC to summarise UFFC complaint – 2012 06 21

Please note that the names and contact details of a member of staff of the
Mayor's Office of Policing and Crime (MOPAC), and of a member of staff of
the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), have been redacted (removed) from
the copies of the emails I am sending to you. One sentence that contains
only personal details has also been removed.

Details about individuals are personal information, and, under Section
40(2) & (3) of the Freedom of Information Act, we can refuse to disclose
personal information to a requester where such disclosure would breach one
of the eight data protection principles set out in Schedule 1 of the Data
Protection Act 1998. If we did release this information we would breach
the first principle, which states that data should be processed fairly and
lawfully. The individuals whose names and other personal details are on
the documents did not expect these personal details to be disclosed to the
public, and have not given consent to such disclosure.

However names that are already in the public domain, and the names of a
senior member of staff and of a member of the London Assembly have been
disclosed to you, following the ICO’s guidance about senior staff in a
public-facing role.  This guidance is at:
