Workbench v2.2.0.2 and Visual Studio 2010 SP1 Bug - Fixed

A bug has been identifed with TFS Workbench (v2.2.0.2) and Visual Studio 2010 SP1. This error affects systems with VS 2010 SP1 installed only.

Reproduction:

When dragging work items between states in the task board mode, you may get a stack overflow exception.

Action:

I am currently working on a fix which should be released shortly. Watch this news feed for further announcements.

Work Around:

To avoid the stack overflow exception, use the work item edit panel to change the work item states.

TFS Workbench v2.2 gets a bug fix release.

A new version of the TFS Workbench (v2.2.0.2) has today been released. This new version includes some fixes for users reported bugs and includes a couple of brand new features.

Bug Fixes:

• Team explorer edit panel memory leak.
  The introduction of the Team Explorer style edit panel also introduced a memory leak.
  
  Status: Resolved.
  
  
• Edit panel state changes not reflected in swim lanes.
  Alterations to the work item state made through the edit panel were not always reflected in the swim lane rows. This has now been corrected.
  
  Status: Resolved.

New Features:

• Open swim lane in new window.
  You can now open the task board mode swim lane views in a separate window. This allows you to see multiple swim lanes simultaneously and enables full screen viewing.
  
  
• Improved work space load times.
  The workspace load and refresh times have been greatly reduced thanks to some new querying techniques. TFS 2010 projects only.

TFS Workbench Version 2.2 is Released.

Today we announce the release of the latest edition of the popular project daskboard application: TFS Workbench verison 2.2.
