Translating Research into Practice
Chancellor Charles R. Bantz
As Chancellor since 2003, I have observed that IUPUI faculty are conducting important research and making significant contributions to improving all aspects of people’s lives. Their research mission demonstrates the value of generating knowledge and taking that knowledge where it can be used to make lives better. Such scholars Translate Research Into Practice.
To celebrate these faculty researchers and the impact they have, I am launching the IUPUI Center for Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP). I have asked Professor Sandra Petronio to spearhead the initiative and Stephan Viehweg to serve as Interim Director. This center will both identify IUPUI’s translational scholars and recognize their work in several programs soon to be underway. We are excited about the potential to bring local and national attention to the great work our faculty are doing on the campus of IUPUI.
You can participate by learning about some of our Featured Translational Scholars or Identify Yourself as a TRIP Scholar.
