Application and Deposit Payment Deadlines

Your completed application packet must be received by the appropriate application deadline below for regular admission consideration. Applications completed after the deadline will still be processed, but we cannot guarantee that a decision will be made in time for the desired term of entry. In these instances, late applicants may be eligible to defer their application or admission to a subsequent term.

If an application deadline falls on a Saturday or Sunday, applications completed by the following Monday will be considered to have met the deadline.

*International students: Paying your tuition deposit by the priority deadline guarantees your place in our incoming class. Meeting the final deadline reserves your seat on a space-available basis. You will receive tuition deposit payment instructions via email after you are officially admitted and your financial support documents have been received and processed by the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment.

**Late arrivals are by permission only. International students must arrive on campus no later than the start date listed on their I-20. Only under special circumstances (difficulties in obtaining a visa, unavailability of plane tickets, or family emergency) may students be allowed to arrive after this date. In such cases, students must request permission for late arrival and obtain an approval letter.

If your late arrival is due to visa delay or denial, please use the Intent to Enroll form to notify us of your situation and request an approval letter. If your delay is not related to visa delay or denial, please request approval for late arrival by contacting Tedd Hawks, Credential and Admission Specialist, at thawks@iit.edu. Your emailed request, with subject line "Late Arrival Request," must include your full name, IIT applicant ID number, and the reason for your delayed arrival.

Students who have obtained approval for late arrival must complete the following requirements by the late arrival deadline: Check in with the IIT International Center, submit any required documents to the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment, meet with an academic advisor and register for courses.
