Thank you for visiting Salt Lake City’s Job Center. Below are steps for applying and monitoring your applications:
Step One: Create an Applicant Profile. All job seekers are required to create a user profile when using our system for the 1st time. To begin, scroll down to “Current City Job Openings”. Select the bid number of the job of interest. At the bottom of the job announcement, select the “Create a Profile” box. There you will submit your personal information, an email address, and password.
Step Two: Upload/Create A Resume. While at your “My Account” screen, you can upload your personal resume or provide a description about your qualifications, education and experience. Once entered, the information you provide can be saved, modified or updated when applying for any current City opening.
Step Three: Apply For Jobs. From your “My Account” screen, you will find a section called “Current List”. The current list is where you can go back to the list of City Jobs. You must go back and apply for each job of interest. Initially, you only created a “Profile”. Again, select the “bid number” scroll to the bottom of the announcement, this time you will only see the “Apply” box. Select it and your “Profile” information will be submitted.
Step Four: Update Profile/Check Job Status/Apply for New Jobs. Job seekers can update their profile, review applications submitted, check the job status of an application and/or apply for a new job by selecting the "Login” section on the upper right hand corner of the screen in the blue banner area of the “City Jobs Opening Page”. Follow the directions to the "My Account" screen. From there you can update your profile, and under the “applied positions tab”, you can select the “bid number” to view the information submitted for that particular job opening. Also, while the job status is “open” you can modify that application; just make sure to save those changes. The “job status” is the sure way to keep informed on the status of your applications. “Under review” means the application is in the hands of the hiring manager who is determining who will be interviewed/hired. Finally, make sure to “log out” of the system.
Thank you for your interest in employment with Salt Lake City Corporation, Utah’s premiere public employer.
