The Lime Connect Fellowship Program For Students with Disabilities is our flagship program in the U.S. designed for highly accomplished rising juniors with disabilities. This highly selective program:
The Fellowship Program kicks off with a leadership & development symposium in New York in August, and offers individual and group coaching, webinars, mentoring and Fellows community discussions throughout the year. Upon "graduation" from the program, Fellows become part of the larger Lime Connect Fellows Alumni Community and have access to ongoing professional development, community and networking opportunities throughout their careers.
Lime Connect Fellows are selected by our corporate partners, and the inaugural class of 2010 and class of 2011 includes students from American, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Duke, Fordham, GWU, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Harvard, MIT, NYU, Princeton, Stanford, Tufts, UCLA, Chicago, Maryland, Michigan, Penn, Pitt, USC, UT Austin and Virginia Tech.
Lime Connect's board of directors and The Lime Team hosted some of the 2010 Fellows who were interning in New York at The Campbell Apartment!
"Getting to talk with the other Fellows about our disabilities and how we deal with talking to our friends about them was a great experience for me. It was nice to hear that I'm not the only one who worries about this and does not always know how to deal with those situations. I really liked Sam's comment about his realization that Lime is not just an organization that connects smart kids with great companies, but that Lime seeks to change the way that society and corporations view people with disabilities by proving that people with disabilities deliver quality and results. I really think Lime will accomplish this mission, especially after meeting the other Fellows, all of whom are such smart, driven, and nice people. I learned so much from the other Fellows, and I feel like all of us grew a lot during the symposium. I certainly did. I realized that I don't need to hide my disability from anyone and that hiding it does not help break stereotypes. It was great to hear how the other Fellows deal with their disabilities, and I really liked speaking with someone else who shares my specific disability." - 2010 Lime Connect Fellow

* A person with a disability is defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term or recurring issue that impacts one or more activities that others may consider to be a daily function. This definition also includes the perception among others that a disability exists. We know that 90% of disabilities on campus (and 70% of disabilities among the general population) are invisible, and candidates with all disabilities are encouraged to join The Lime Network and take full advantage of the benefits it offers.
