Commercial Collection Services

Container sizes that are available to commercial businesses include: 68-, 95- and 300-gallon containers and 2, 3, and 4-cubic-yard bins for refuse. The fee varies according to the frequency of service, and the number and size of containers that are being serviced.

COMMINGLED RECYCLING SERVICES
The Resource Recovery & Recycling Division will provide commingled recycle containers to Santa Monica commercial customers. These may be collected daily, if necessary, from the area of regular collection service. There is no additional charge for commingled recycle containers for commercial businesses.

EXTRA RECYCLING COLLECTION CONTAINERS
There is no additional charge for extra recycling containers. If you have more recyclable materials than your container(s) can hold, please contact the Resource Recovery & Recycling Division at (310) 458-2223 to obtain more containers for your materials. However, if the materials are not in the designated container the materials will not be collected.

FOOD WASTE RECYCLING
The Resource Recovery & Recycling Division provides food waste recycling containers, at no additional charge, to restaurants that have city refuse collection service. Participants are required to separate all organic waste and place it into special containers provided by the city.

EXTRA REFUSE
The Resource Recovery & Recycling Division provides extra collection services to businesses with city collection refuse service for an additional cost. Charges will be assessed depending on the number of additional collection container(s).
