Join Junkies Nation in helping our walker get ready for her walk to help Fight Breast Cancer through the Avon Foundation. Junkies Nation is proud to be part of the fight against breast cancer and we hope that you join us with a small donation.
Our walker is committed to participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It’s a big commitment, one that will require me to spend the next several months training and fundraising. But breast cancer is a big disease, one that still affects far too many people, and she is determined to do everything she can to help put an end to it.
This walk is being dedicated to her mother, a breast cancer survivor.
The money she raises will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those who most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. She’ll be just one of thousands of people who will walk up to 39.3 miles over two days, raising awareness promoting education.
She can’t do this without your help, please donate now.

The latest Ask Us Anything from TESO has been released, and we’re beginning to be able to tell a lot about what combat will be like when the game goes live. For those who have not yet heard, TESO will employ a “soft targeting” system. Essentially, this type of combat will be a combination of traditional Elder Scrolls combat (no targeting other than crosshair) and that which is normally found in the MMO world (hard targeting). Instead of using tab/click to select and lock onto an NPC or opposing player, and subsequently “lock” onto that enemy, hovering the targeting reticule over the enemy will focus the player’s attack at that target. This allows the player to select a specific enemy in a crowd, even if the target is behind another enemy, while maintaining the freedom to switch targets by simply soft-targeting something else.
Scott Hartsman, one time head-man of RIFT, the man with apparently the best dressed photo of all devs on the planet, sat down to have a discussion with Forbes.com. Since RIFT’s launch, RIFT has gone from a full subscription game with no trial to having a Rift-Lite version where you can play the first 20 levels for free. Now that Scott has left Trion and rumors swirl around the internet that Rift is heading towards a full F2P model, we get a glimpse of the future og gaming subscriptions according to Mr. Hartsman.

Hey everyone, many of you might be familiar with the full Junkies Nation network where we attempt to create fansites from every MMOG out there. As our network grows, so do my responsibilities. Because of this we have begun our very own Affiliate Operator program.
To break it down simply, Junkies Nation is looking for people who have the desire to run, operate and create content for Defiance Junkies. This means Defiance Junkies is your site to run as you see fit under our guidelines. In turn you get web development, hosting, developer access (Hi Lance!), promotional support that includes cross-platform with our sites as well as outside sources of promotion.
As the Senior Editor of Junkies Nation, I can’t be across our network every day, all the time and we’re looking for a bright, creative and hard working person to run Defiance Junkies for us. In return for all your hardwork, you then begin to share in the site’s profits earning up to 60% of the revenue generated on the site.
If you are interested in finding out more about this program, along with the details, please contact me at Draegan@Rerollz.com.
Thanks everyone!
This week we have some fun discussing some post drama shenanigans with Aneu, GM of VotF and AGM Evoex of LotD. Along with our discussion about the ascendance of Blackgate and the downfall of Sea of Sorrows we discuss the future of the game and touch a little on ArcheAge.
You may of noticed a new URL of this website up in the navigation bar! We’ve transitioned to a new network where all of our fansites are on the same domain. This doesn’t change anything for you externally but helps those of us who bring you new content organize things better. This is only the beginning and we plan on bring you, the fans, some exciting new things that will include a brand new website called JunkiesNation.com which will cover everything from MMORPGs and the lifestyle that comes with them (yes, that means Cheetos, Mountain Dew and comic books).
For now sit tight and keep enjoying the daily content you get from our writers. For us, we’ll get back to work. If you see any problems or issues, please send all feedback to Ryan Raplee at Teljair@Rerollz.com.
Cheers everyone!
Today, with the big announcement of the beta signup, Bethesda has also published a podcast with Jo Burba, Social Media Director, Matt Firor, Game Director, and Paul Sage, Creative Director. During the show the go over a few key design elements along with information on how the beta program will be organized and run.
The initial beta program will concentrate on shorter, small focus tests to test out specific game elements like certain classes and other features. TESO will bring more experienced testers at first and broaden their base as the test program ages. So if you’re filling out that signup form, the more information you can provide the better.
A new trailer has been released that shows a fantastic 6 minute series of the three different factions battling it out. It’s a quick little preview of what the developers are hoping becomes the theme of the game. Three factions, one world, and lots of action.
