Registration and Convention Times

Pre-registered attendees can pick up your badge Friday, January 25th from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Both registration and pre-registration pickup will be open on Saturday, January 26th at 7:00 AM and run until 8:00 PM. On Sunday, January 27th, registration will be open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Setsucon's convention hours will be from 8:00 AM -12:00 AM(Midnight) on Saturday and 8:00 AM-6:00 PM on Sunday. All programming ends at 12:00 AM(Midnight) on Saturday and 6:oo PM on Sunday.

Setsucon 2013 Odori: 3 Hours, 3 DJs

Don't forget to come prepared for our dance event, Setsu Odori! This year we're mixing it up with 3 DJs. First up, local spinner from Penn State’s Electronic Dance Music Club, Komet. Second, with over 10 years of DJing experience, DJ Zing. Finally Dj CUTMAN returns, blasting to the past with his signature mix of nostalgic 8-bit beats.

Dave Lister, founder of Studio Nasu, joins us at Setsucon 2013! Studio Nasu’s contributions include games such as Starbuster, Protostar, Nasuvania, and Cloudberry Kingdom, and most recently, The Official Otakon Video Game, Crisis Heart Brawlers: Clash at Otakon. Voice Actor Cherami Leigh joins us at Setsucon 2013! She has voiced the roles of Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail, Patty from Soul Eater, and Kneesocks from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, and more. We are excited that Cherami will be joining us this year.

LittleKuriboh ventures to Setsucon 2013! His smash hit Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series inspired the abridged series phenomenon. He has also done work on Dragon Ball Z Abridged as well as several other abridged series. Come have some laughs!

Call For Entries - Setsucon 2013 Art Contests

Without further ado, Setsucon is now taking entries for our 2013 art contests! We will be accepting fan submissions to appear on the cover of our convention booklet and on our attendee badges. Please take note that we have made changes to our booklet format, guidelines, rules, and specifications, so please be sure to review all of the contest information before entering either contest. Pre-Registration Is Open!

Pre-Registration is now open! Weekend Pre-Registration is $25. Saturday only Pre-Registration is $18. Sunday only Pre-Registration is $12. All mail-in registration forms and fees must be postmarked by December 7, 2012 or it is not considered Pre-Registration. Please remember to read over our Policies and be sure to mail in the Parental Consent Form if you will be under 18 during Setsucon 2013. Hope you all are excited for Setsucon 2013!

AnimeNEXT was awesome! It was good to see Dave Lister from Studio Nasu, Anthony from Vidgle's Con Goer, Lee and Alex from Otakon, Carlo from AnimeNEXT, and other familiar faces again, as well as many new ones. Thanks to all who made the trip possible: AnimeNEXT for having us, and Setsucon staff for working. Congratulations to AnimeNEXT staff for a successful con. We had a great weekend! We'll be at Otakon in July. See you there!

Setsucon 2013 location and dates confirmed!

Setsucon has confirmed its location and dates for 2013! We will be returning to The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, PA on January 26 and 27, 2013. Like previous years, The Penn Stater has a hotel room block with a discounted rate for Setsucon attendees. Please visit our Location page for more information.

Registration and Convention Times

Setsucon would like to welcome back Antipode for their fifth year. Founded in 2006, Antipode has merged the concept of belly dancing with anime culture. Come out and see them perform their shows Super Mario Bellydance World and Legend of Zelda: Link's Bellydance.

Colleen Clinkenbeard joins us in 2012

Colleen Clinkenbeard is an accomplished voice actor/ADR director/ADR scriptwriter/ Line Producer for FUNimation Productions. She is credited with voices in One Piece (Monkey D. Luffy), Dragonball Z Kai (Gohan, Android 18, Baby Trunks), Fullmetal Alchemist (Rose Thomas and Riza Hawkeye) and many others. She has done ADR work on Fullmetal Alchemist, Claymore, and Black Butler in addition to other anime.

Setsucon Reminders

Only 1 month and 9 days till Setsucon! We've got a few quick reminders. We are still accepting Panel Submissions. If you're interested in giving a panel, send in those submissions before all the slots fill up. AMV Contest entries must be received no later than January 14th, so be sure to give yourself enough time to mail them in. Mail-In Cosplay and Masquerade forms are now closed. You can still register for both through our online forms. Setsucon is fast approaching. See you all soon!
