Department of

Computer Science

The Dipartimento di Informatica (DI) is engaged in research and teaching in informatics, related fields, and interdisciplinary studies. This department counts more than 200 members as its faculty, staff, PhD students, and post-docs, in addition to numerous adjunct professors. It offers 10 degree programs: seven bachelor’s and three master’s. The DI was founded on April 27, 2012.

The Metapiano and the Instant Interpretation of Musical Score

The metapiano is made of only nine piano keys. It can be played with a few fingers, or even with one finger. As its name stresses, the metapiano goes beyond traditional instruments, because it stores the notes to be performed by the musician.
