    For many years, the issue of hunger was something that Americans simply could not comprehend. We thought hunger only existed in a foreign country, some pin on a map that we only read about in 8th grade Social Studies.

    Fighting Hunger With Joy

    Recently my co-workers decided to do a “cleanse” together. When I was asked to join them and commiserate through the process I said yes, but not without a few reservations. On day one of the cleanse I choked down “breakfast” along with the “lunch” and “snacks.” By the time dinner  rolled around I was nothing short of ravenous.
