The following is a list of fellowships & deadlines for the 2012/13 recruiting cycle.

STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellowships

The STFC deadline is 27 Sept 2012, but because of procedural requirements, candidates must submit their applications to us by 31st August. We strongly encourage potential applicants to contact us as soon as possible. We will make our decisions as to who we will sponsor by 10th September at the latest.

If you wish to apply please send a CV, list of publications and outline proposal using the format required for the STFC application and arrange for a supporting letter from your nominated referee as soon as possible to Roger Davies and Patrick Roche and by 31st August at the latest.

Below are fellowships that we advertised last year and we expect the 2012 deadlines to be similar. As further details of these opportunities are published we will update them. In the interim we thought that last years' fellowship process may be of interest and help you in planning.

STFC Public Engagement Fellowships 2012
For researchers with good communication skills who have demonstrated a track record in public engagement with research or communication work. Applications are invited from STFC funded researchers and users of STFC facilities. Fellowship holders would have a proportion of their time bought out to enable them to concentrate on new or additional activities which would have significant national or regional impact.

The Closing date for applications is 1st March 2012 at 16:00

Electronic Submissions

Please supply an electronic copy of your entire application to y [dot] oakley1 [at] physics [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk at least 10 working days before the funding body deadline. Alternatively please allow read/write access to your application. For STFC Fellowships please refer to the Astrophysics deadline. After the internal selection procedure (if any) applications will be processed accordingly to include any financial figures. University approval for the application will also be sought for on behalf of the applicant. Once the internal procedures have been completed, applications may be submitted electronically to the funding body.

Paper Submissions

Please supply one paper copy of your entire application to the address below at least 10 working days before the funding body deadline. Once University approval has been given for an application, the appropriate number of copies will be made and posted to the funding body on behalf of the applicant.
