Digital Interaction: a human-computer interaction and ubiquitous computing research group led by Professor Patrick Olivier of the School of Computing Science. The Digital Interaction group’s research on experience-centred design of innovative digital technology and challenges of context aware computing. Member of the group come from a wide range of disciplines including computer science, fine arts, psychology, electronic engineering, sociology, clinical sciences, education and design. Digital Media: a practice-based digital media research group that focuses on the critical investigation of technology, their aesthetics and innovative social applications, and the facilitation of collaborative environments as art&science and design&technology to generate inter- and transdisciplinary frameworks with the aim of enhancing practice-based and practice-led research. Principal interest include data visualisation, digital fabrication, open source communities and applications, curatorship and digital arts, and interactive art & interface design and practices with emerging technologies.
