Even though not all jobs are necessarily as stressful as other, the truth is that we can all benefit from some little tips to help us relax and unwind a bit when things get hectic in the office. The best thing is to take at least a couple of breaks of about 30 minutes each and to make sure you leave the office to clear your mind from all the work craziness.
Of course, this may not be possible every day, but the good news that you only need about five minutes to do at least one of the things on the list below. I promise, you'll be surprised how much these simple actions can help relieve stress!

Her answer to our question eventually became a repeated dicho within my family. It was especially funny because my mother was always telling people what to do and giving everyone directions on how to organize their lives--and we'd use her expression constantly to explain why she always was actually the boss in our family, even more so than my father!
I share this anectode so you can see that "being the boss" is first a personal conviction, followed by an attitude that you adopt that makes you see yourself and makes others see you as "the boss."

Julia had lived in New Jersey for 10 years and was working as a waitress at a local restaurant when she started taking night classes at her community college. Her goal was to earn an associate's degree in nursing, and to that end she slept little and socialized even less. She spent weekends studying and finishing her assignments online.
When she finally got her degree and she started looking for work in different clinics and hospitals, she noticed that some of her friends and some relatives looked at her differently. Instead of feeling proud of her, they'd make comments like: "You think you're better than us because you're going to be a nurse?" or "You don't have time for me now that you want to be a doctor?"
