Live Music at Raglan Road

Disney World Nightlife has become a bit of an oxymoron in the past few years. Ever since the closing of several Pleasure Island nightclubs, adults in Disney World have mourned the after-hours fun and games that used to be a big part of their vacations in Orlando.

However, all is not lost! There are still a few fantastic ways to spend your evenings -- all the way up until the wee hours of the morning!

Disney's Boardwalk

Disney's Boardwalk offers a few great spots for some enjoyable grown-up entertainment. Tuesdays through Saturdays, head to the Atlantic Dance Hall for great bands, DJs, and your favorite (requested!) music videos from the 80s, 90s, and today! This is a great place to go if you can still walk after all of your theme park touring... .

Another favorite is dueling piano bar, Jellyrolls. Usually packed to the gills, get there early (around 8pm) to get a table, and remember to combine your song request with a dollar or two for the talent on stage. The energy and incredible ability of these musicians will have you singing along in no time.

Live Irish Dancing at Raglan Road

Finally, just strolling along the Boardwalk, taking in the jugglers' and musicians' shows, and maybe even playing some of the fun Boardwalk games, is a great way to spend an evening. Pop into the ESPN Club for a beer or to watch the game, or head over to Epcot for Illuminations!

Disney Lounges and the Infamous Monorail Crawl

A favorite evening activity for us is the Monorail Crawl. You see, every Disney resort hotel has a bar or lounge of some sort, and the Deluxe resorts have some pretty swanky spots!

The Monorail Crawl was developed to mimic British pub crawls, and brings you to one of the lounges on each of the resorts on the monorail line around Seven Seas Lagoon! Be sure to take Disney transportation back home!

Downtown Disney and La Nouba

Even though Pleasure Island is, essentially, closed, there are still some great acts to catch throughout Downtown Disney. Still open on Pleasure Island is Raglan Road, where authentic Irish bands and dancers can be found entertaining the night away (we suggest the bangers and mash!).

From there, consider seeing if there are tickets available for Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba show, catch a live show at House of Blues, or head over for some late-night shopping in the Disney Marketplace (shops are usually open until at least 11pm).
