May 2011 Campaign – jQuery UI Bugs
Fix a bug. Get a prize.
- Previous day’s winner and today’s prize is announced each morning. Follow the RewardJS blog or @rewardjs for updates.
- Credit is given for the day/week/month the bug gets closed with a fixed status, not the day/week/month when a potential fix was submitted.
- A comment on a ticket (while appreciated) will not cut it, you have to be the one that proposed the accepted fix, by way of a GitHub pull request
- While finding and fixing new bugs improves jQuery UI, our goal for the month of May is to decrease the number of bugs. So here we go: you can find and fix new bugs, but are only credited if you fix just as many old bugs (existed in Trac before May 2). So fix 5 new bugs and 5 old bugs and get credit for 10 bugs. Fix 20 new bugs and 3 old bugs, get credit for 6 bugs. This applies to any time period below: day/week/month.
- Winners are selected by the jQuery UI Development team based on data in their bug tracking system, bugs.jqueryui.com
- 1 Daily Winner (Mon-Fri) prize will be awarded to the person credited for closing the most bugs during that day.
- 1 Weekly Winner (Mon-Sat) prize will be awarded to the person credited for closing the most bugs during that week.
- Everyone Weekly (Mon-Sat) prizes will be awarded to each person credited for closing at least 1 bug during that week.
- 1 Monthly Winner (May 2-May 29) grand prize will be awarded to the person credited for closing the most bugs during that month.
- Everyone Monthly (May 2-May 29) prizes will be awarded to each person credited for closing at least 1 bug during that month.
- If there is a tie for the most bugs closed in a time period (day/week/month) the names will be drawn from a hat, at random.
- If you have commit access (you know who you are), you are not eligible for any prizes. This is fair.
