About Us
Kirbie’s Cravings is a food blog based in San Diego, sharing dining experiences (mainly in San Diego, but also in Los Angeles, Orange County, the Bay Area and anywhere else we travel to), food recipes, and food products.
We love to eat, take food road trips, cook and bake. Through this blog, we share our eating adventures. We hope you enjoy following along!
Kirbie: I grew up surrounded by wonderful food and people who have a passion for food. My grandparents have always taken me to amazing restaurants. At home, my mom is a wonderful cook. In high school my friends gave me the nickname “Kirbie” because I’m constantly eating and have the ability to eat large amounts of food and metabolize it quickly and be hungry again within the hour.
DH (“Dear Husband”) (formerly referred to in older posts as either “FH” (Future Husband) or “BF” (The Boyfriend)) : When I met DH, he wasn’t very into food. His diet consisted mainly of canned food and fast food. After we began dating, DH’s palate changed and now he enjoys all types of cuisine. He doesn’t consider himself a foodie, but he is willing to be my constant dining companion, driver on food road trips, and taste tester in the kitchen. If there was one word used to describe him, it would be “artist.” He loves drawing and will often have his sketch pad out no matter where we are.
