  • boys and girls ages 11 -14 who reside in the Boston area (particularly Dorchester, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain and Hyde Park)
  • provided with apparel, bus transportation to and from camp, and three meals a day
  • sits on 12 Acres on Long Island in Boston Harbor
  • runs Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm
  • tuition is $5 per child, per four week session (two sessions per summer)
  • operated daily and staffed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston
  • built from start to finish in just 109 days in the spring and summer of 2007 by Suffolk Construction
  • programming is based on five key areas of development: Leadership Skills, Knowledge Is Power, Sports and Fitness, The Arts, and Aquatics

  • Now serves 800 campers for 4 weeks each summer
  • 65 Leaders in Training engage in a summertime program that extends throughout the school year.
