Users can access Mimas services in a number of ways. To find out how, use the access services tables or view the service-specific access procedures.

The Archives Hub service is freely available. No registration or licence is necessary to access this service.
cdu.mimas.ac.uk
When accessing any Census Dissemination Unit (CDU) dataset or application, users will be prompted to input their institutional username and password. If users have not already registered, they will be transferred to the Census Registration Service where they can register directly.
Following this initial registration, users will only need their institutional username and password each time they access the data.
Please Note: Agreement to additional Special Conditions is required in order to access certain Census datasets and services. Users are strongly recommended to take a few minutes to agree to all of the Special Conditions listed in order to access the full range of datasets and services.
User Accountability will be required for Federated Access to CDU datasets or applications.

The Copac service is freely available. No registration or licence is necessary to access this service.

When accessing any ESDS International dataset, users will be prompted to input a personal Athens or institutional username and password. If users have not already registered with the Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS), they will be automatically transferred to the online registration form where they will be asked to provide some personal details necessary for management and evaluation of the service. Users can also register directly by visiting the ESDS website.
Following this initial registration, users will only need their Athens or institutional username and password each time they access the data.
Please Note: Agreement to additional Special Conditions is required in order to access certain international datasets. Users will be automatically directed to any Special Conditions associated with each dataset, and are strongly recommended to take a few minutes to agree to all of the Special Conditions listed in order to access to the full range of datasets.

The JISC eCollections service is available to UK HE and FE institutions and Research Councils via subscription. There is one annual fee for the JISC eCollections service which provides access to all 3 platforms included: JISC Historic Books, JISC Journal Archives (both developed by Mimas) and JISC MediaHub (developed by EDINA).
JISC Historic Books is available via Federated Access and directly ('On Campus' only – if an institution has requested that direct IP access be enabled).

Jorum requires that all users register online for the service.
Institutions already registered to use Jorum are included on the list of institutions signed up to Jorum User.
Users can register with an Athens or institutional username and password. The Jorum User registration page has more details.
Different arrangements apply if users wish to register as a Jorum Contributor.
Staff and 'site reps' who would like to contribute resources to Jorum are required to be listed on Schedule 1 or 2 of the licence and will be issued with a Jorum Contributor account.

jusp.mimas.ac.uk
JUSP is available to academic libraries in the higher education sector. To participate in JUSP libraries must indicate their interest by emailing jusp@mimas.ac.uk and complete the Library Participation Agreement available from the JUSP website. A list of participating institutions is available at jusp.mimas.ac.uk/participants.html. Once registered, libraries will be able to login to JUSP via the home page with their institutional username and password. This will enable contributing institutions to view their own data. Institutions that havent registered to use JUSP can login with their institutional username to view a set of dummy data.
JUSP is available via Federated Access.

Users may access the JSTOR service in one of the following ways:
In the UK, JSTOR is available to any member of an academic institution that has signed the JISC/JSTOR Site Licence Agreement. A list of participating institutions is available.

The mandatory attribute eduPersonEntitlement with a value of urn:mace:dir:entitlement:common-lib-terms should be used to convey entitlement under the JSTOR licence agreement.
landmap.mimas.ac.uk
Institutions need to ensure that they have obtained licences in order to access the Landmap service. These 'Licence to Use' agreements can be downloaded from the Landmap website. A list of licensed institutions is also available.
Individual members of licensed institutions must register online to use the Landmap service. Once registered, users may access the service by entering their institutional username and password.
Please Note: Re-registration will be necessary the first time a user accesses the Landmap service via Federated Access.
The optional attributes will be requested from the user's identity provider only when the user registers. If they are not supplied, the user will have to enter their values in the online registration form.

The UKPMC service is freely available. No registration or licence is necessary to access this service.
wok.mimas.ac.uk
Users may access the Web of Knowledge (WoK) service in one of the following ways:
The WoK service is available to users from all academic and research institutions in the UK that have subscribed to the Web of Science Agreement. A list of licensed institutions is available.
Users from institutions not already subscribed should contact their library to express interest.

Users may search the Zetoc database in one of the following ways:
To use Zetoc Alert, users must enter their Athens or institutional username and password. NOTE: A few institutions have IP-authenticated access to Zetoc Alert.
Users must accept the Zetoc and Zetoc Alert Terms and Conditions of Use.
Zetoc is available free of charge to JISC-sponsored UK Higher and Further Education institutions and UK Research Councils.
The service is also available (via subscription) to other organisations that accept the Zetoc Terms and Conditions:
The optional attribute for Zetoc Alert, AthensPersistentUID, is only for those sites coming through the 'Athens-to-Shibboleth Gateway'.
The WAYFless URL for the Zetoc home page can be used in place of the separate WAYFless URLs for Zetoc Search and Zetoc Alert. An authenticated user will be taken to the Zetoc home page, and will be able to use Zetoc Search and Zetoc Alert without further challenge (N.B. for the latter, the attribute eduPersonTargetedID must have been supplied).
Please Note: Access to Zetoc via the Z39.50 protocol is not supported by Federated Access.
