The 9/11 Generation

Like the Vietnam War and the fall of the Berlin Wall, there are certain events that change the political landscape of the people living through them.  These paradigm shifts create changing social, and to a certain extent, psychological mindsets which have a prolonged impact on the affected generation.  For my generation, one that grew up in the 90s, many have come to refer to us as β€œthe 9/11 generation.” Eleven years after the events in New York we still feels the effects of this shift, but to what extent does this shift resonate with the generation after?

There is a girl in my engineering class who often comes into lecture late and wears heels and other revealing attire. As she walks in, the sound of her heels on the tile floor, the aroma of her perfume when she walks by, and the fact that her clothing is always tight and revealing causes me to become flustered and lose focus during the lecture. This is a huge problem, what should I do?
