“Modern Metal” - A Gamelan Concert
The Venerable Showers of Beauty Gamelan presents this concert, part of the “March Music Moderne” series, featuring contemporary and traditional delights for gamelan and special guest Jessika Kenney! The VSB Gamelan ensemble has presented hundreds of events throughout the Northwest in its three decades in Portland. Musicians observe traditional playing style: seated on the floor, wearing colorful Indonesian batik costumes. Tickets are sliding scale $10-15. LC students and faculty/staff are free in advance or $5 on the day of the show. Please visit VSBGamelan’s website to purchase tickets.
