Ohio State Racing Commission Report

Members of the Ohio State Racing Commission listened to presentations by Penn Gaming
officials related to racetrack relocation applications for Raceway Park and Beulah Park
during its monthly meeting in Columbus on March 12. Penn Gaming wants
to move Raceway Park from Toledo to Dayton and Beulah Park from Grove City
to Austintown. Austintown is located nine miles west of Youngstown.

Chairman Robert K. Schmitz said the commission would meet next on Wednesday, March 20.
Penn Gaming officials were requested to address concerns expressed by commissioners
at that time, notably those related to the amount of seating and certain amenities in
the planned racetrack grandstand and clubhouse. The number of stalls scheduled
to be constructed and the lack of housing for grooms were other concerns expressed.

Schmitz added that representatives of Miami Valley Gaming and Racing, another
racetrack moving to a new location, will be asked to attend and provide additional
information to the commission. He also said another meeting of the commission
may be scheduled prior to the end of March.
