The DCBA has an opening for the full-time position of Executive Director in our Downtown Chico Office.  The successful candidate will be results driven with a 'can do' attitude and experience in a dynamic organization. Produced by the Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA) and funded in part by the City of Chico, the Tree Lighting is a gift to the community. Crowds will enjoy a musical program and participate in the countdown to light the tree.

Standing at more than 55’ tall, the Blue Atlas Cedar is decorated by the City of Chico Tree Crew each year with more than 8,000 colorful LED lights.

Downtown Chico officially kicks off the season in a tradition of holiday hospitality Sunday, November 18th from 4-8pm— it's the much-anticipated Christmas Preview! Merchants debut their holiday cheer by inviting the community to delight in an evening filled with the sights, sounds and anticipation of the holidays.

Stores don beautiful decorations, provide entertainment and offer delicious refreshments. Strolling carolers add a special charm to the downtown streets. Santa will arrive to his station on Third Street & Broadway - a perfect opportunity for a visit and a photo.

The Chico Art School & Gallery, conveniently located in downtown Chico, offers children ages 7 and up ongoing instruction in painting and drawing.

Janet Lombardi Blixt opened the Chico Art School in 2009.

Her goal is to share the rewards of art as an integral part of life - for fun, relaxation and personal expression. “I hope that my students grow to believe they can now do more than they ever thought possible.”

A literary and current affairs magazine with the openness and pioneering spirit of the Pacific Northwest, Empirical aspires for truth by boldly introducing thought-provoking points of view and new paradigms. A forum for discourse on contemporary issues, the magazine is "radically empirical" in considering the broad range of human experience.

Fleet Feet has been a fixture in downtown Chico for the last 34 years. Alan Rice and Susan Zepernick have owned and operated the store for the last 7 years and are committed to keeping the downtown area a thriving and exciting place to shop, live, and work.
