HPC-Europa2: Transnational Access research visit programme

HPC-Europa2’s EC-funded Transnational Access programme offers European-based computational scientists the opportunity to travel to another country to work in collaboration with researchers in a similar field, while having access to some of the most powerful computers in Europe.

EPCC is one of 7 European HPC centres which offer Transnational Access visits through the HPC-Europa2 programme.

The HPC-Europa2 programme offers:

  • Access to some of the most powerful computers in Europe;
  • Scientific collaboration with a host researcher in your field;
  • HPC technical support and consultancy from friendly and experienced staff;
  • Travel and living expenses;
  • Logistical and administrative support;
  • Minimal paperwork and bureaucracy.

The programme is open to researchers of any level, from PhD students to full professors, in any field of computational science which requires world-class computing facilities.

Applicants must currently be working in any EU member state or Associated State (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey).

Note that UK-based researchers may not apply for visits to EPCC, but may apply to our partner centres in Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
