This workshop aims at instigating discussions on

• different resummation techniques and their relation;
• various parton shower formalisms and their formal accuracy;
• the connection between analytical resummation and parton showers;
• the matching to fixed order results.

Note that a related workshop on Jet Vetoes and Multi-Jet Processes at the LHC is held immediately after this workshop, July 17-19, also at the IPPP, Durham.
