MOVIES!
In so many ways, contemporary filmmakers play the role that folk singers did in the Sixities; that is, they are bringing us important messages about the environment and the state of the world. We screen a film about once a month, like "Bag It!," a story about a man who decides to eliminate plastic from his life, and a recent showing at Sundance of "Queen of the Sun," a movie about the alarming decline of queen bees. In summer 2011, we also staged our first outdoor Eco-Movie with a 30-foot screen under the stars in James Madison Park, for over 200 of our closest friends.
BADGER BIONEERS CONFERENCE 2012
This is Sustain Dane's signature annual event, and it just keeps getting better. This December, we are partnering with the UW Office of Sustainability & Global Health Institute to bring you the best, smartest, most dynamic Badger Bioneers conference yet.
ECO SALONS
Join us the second Monday of every month for our popular think-and-drink, starring community entrepreneurs and local sustainability heroes. Eco-Salons are held at Brocach, 7 W. Main Street. Doors and mingling at happy, happy Hour, 5 pm; program at 6 pm.
