    Lieutenant Governor of Iowa Kim Reynolds says that cellulosic ethanol will make Iowa - as well as the US - more energy independent. 

    She said the Nevada cellulosic ethanol facility will create high-quality, high-skilled jobs and they will have the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) workforce ready.

    On November 30, DuPont will come one step closer to commercializing advanced biofuels by breaking ground on its cellulosic ethanol facility in Nevada, Iowa. Once fully operational, this facility will supply home grown renewable fuel to the market, made from corn stover supplied by local growers.

Construction will soon begin at DuPont's commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol facility in Nevada, Iowa.

Once fully operational, the facility will produce 30 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol per year, and its fully integrated end-to-end production system will be available to license globally.
