Vello Supports InCNTRE Lab

Multi-Vendor Interoperability Key to Success of SDN

Menlo Park, CA, August 15, 2012 — Vello Systems announced today it has become a sponsor of the SDN Lab at the Indiana Center for Network Translational Research and Education (InCNTRE) at Indiana University. This lab focuses on interoperability testing for software-defined networking (SDN) and OpenFlow-based systems.

InCNTRE’s facility is the world’s only neutral, third-party testing lab dedicated to SDN. Under the leadership of executive director Matt Davy, InCNTRE is playing a key role in encouraging the development and adoption of standards-based SDN technologies such as OpenFlow. InCNTRE’s research, education, and testing activities are advancing the SDN industry while training the network engineers and developers of the future.

“We are pleased to welcome Vello Systems as a sponsor,” commented InCNTRE executive director Matt Davy. “We believe interoperability is key to the success of SDN. As an early adopter of SDN for business continuity applications, it’s great to have Vello’s support for our mission of encouraging SDN interoperability.”

“We are pleased to support InCNTRE as its work will be vital to winning broader industry and customer acceptance for SDN and OpenFlow technology,” said Vello CEO Karl May.
