Housing America's Heroes

NHC's 40th Annual Gala honored the organizations that serve America's veterans by meeting their housing needs. NHC chose this theme to shine a light on a housing industry united in its desire to serve this critical and growing need and the partnerships (public and private) that are making a difference. More than 700 leaders in the housing policy and veterans' affairs worlds gathered to celebrate the achievements of our 2012 honorees.

The tone of the evening, while celebratory, also presented a call to action for even greater involvement from the housing sector and explore the public policy imperative that is mobilizing our industry to meet the diverse needs that will continue to grow as more veterans return home.

Help NHC Make the Match Matter for
Veterans and Affordable Housing

On June 21, The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation (WFHF) awarded a $100,000 matching grant to support the NHC mission and the organizations that help to house veterans.

Half of the match will be equally distributed between U.S. Vets and Operation Homefront, which are 501(c)(3) organizations that focus on housing America’s heroes.

The 2:1 match applies to cash or stock contributions given by individuals, businesses, foundations or government entities.

That means your tax deductible donations will be matched, tripling your investment—starting immediately.

To contribute, donate online now through September 28.
