The Alliance Announces New Members; Accredits 11 Parks and Aquariums
The Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums, the only international organization representing zoological parks and aquariums caring for marine mammals, recently accredited three new members and reaccredited eight other U.S. and international facilities, while welcoming the American Veterinary Medical Association as a professional member.

Alliance Members Ready to Respond To Oil Spill Crisis Threat to Wildlife
In preparation for emergency animal rescue response calls, members of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums are working with federal and state agencies to provide animal care expertise, stranded animal rescue experience and resources in a coordinated and comprehensive plan to save dolphins, manatees and sea turtles affected by the Gulf Coast oil spill.

"Just stop feeding me!" says an animated dolphin in a new public service announcement released today that highlights the dangers of dolphins getting hooked on human handouts. The PSA was produced by a coalition of government agencies and private organizations.

Convention on Migratory Species and the Alliance form Partnership to Protect Dolphins and Whales
The Alliance and the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, signed an agreement that establishes a strong, collaborative relationship designed to help protect dolphins and whales as they migrate.
