Buy a symbolic share in Gaza’s Ark – A Share in Hope
As we state in our Mission Statement
Gaza’s Ark will build a boat in Gaza using existing resources. A crew of internationals and Palestinians will sail it out of Gaza, the only Mediterranean port closed to shipping, carrying Palestinian products to fulfill trade deals with international buyers, to challenge the illegal and inhuman Israeli blockade. |

Building a boat is very complex and has many different components. We will start with purchasing a fishing boat in Gaza that will then be refurbished for sailing on the high seas. Our Palestinian partners in Gaza have been helping us to locate a boat and we are very close to purchasing and insuring one for an anticipated cost of $90,000.
We are ready to make a down payment on the boat and start rebuilding it right away, as we raise the rest of the money to pay it in full.
We need your help now in the purchase of the boat.

This is how you can do it:
When we receive your contribution we will e-mail you (or mail by post if you prefer) a “Gaza – A share in Hope” symbolic certificate with your name on it and the value that you have donated.
This will make a perfect gift from you. While purchasing the shares give us instructions to put the name of your dear one on the certificate.
If you contribute $1,000 (Canadian) or more, your name can appear on a plaque placed on Gaza’s Ark unless you choose to remain anonymous.
Israel uses unlawful collective punishment
"In response to the rocket fire earlier this morning … the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Minister of Defense, Mr. Moshe (Bogie) Yaalon, have instructed the IDF to narrow the permitted fishing zone for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip from six to three miles," the army said.

Gaza’s Ark in the media
News by Timothy Bidon
Gaza’s Ark is a new project to refurbish a boat in Gaza’s port, then fill it with Palestinian goods, and set sail to export them in defiance of the Israeli blockade.
David Heap, spokesperson for Gaza’s Ark in Canada and Europe, told Peace News in late February, that the project, run by Palestinians and international solidarity activists, aims ‘to continue to challenge the inhuman, immoral blockade and to stand with the people of Gaza very concretely in their port, rebuilding the boat in a place where they can see… and continue to bear witness to the blockade which is kept in place by the complicity of our governments,’.
