Go out and find auditions if your dream is to act or dance or sing. They will not come to you, and it is not a good idea to rely solely on an agent to find you work opportunities. They may be very busy and also have other clients whom they have prioritized above you, and meanwhile you sit with no work waiting for a call from them. You have to take it upon yourself to find auditions using your investigative skills and the resources you have available to you.

If you are at a loss as to how to find auditions, start by going to the local places that you know are involved with producing plays and other types of productions. Ask around to see what information the people you meet there can give you to help find auditions. Theatres, studios, acting schools, production companies and colleges are all good possible sources of information, and more and more recently, actors and agents have begun to use the Internet to post announcements and find auditions and casting opportunities.

The time to start trying to find audition, if you haven't started already, is right now. For every day that you wait or rely on someone else to find them for you, at least one other person has gone out there and scrounged up the very information you may have needed to find auditions suitable for you. This means now there's more competition, and you still don't even know where the race is.
