Sneak recently returned to Montreal’s Igloofest for another party in the snow with 8,000 people. This year’s line-up included Josh Wink and Paolo Rocco. DJMag.ca were also in attendance and made this video featuring action from the gig plus interviews.
It’s Monday afternoon so naturally we’re on our way to DC10, to Circo Loco, the most underground of parties where top class DJs regularly do battle but today’s DJ battle is unlike any that has taken place in the venue in all its years. Today, DJ Sneak, Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss and Ryan Crosson are going head to head in a BBQ cook off, it’s Grilla Loco…
Sankeys closing part two sees another stack of awesome talent gathered for our entertainment and another mystery guest to ponder over… The musical menu is looking particularly healthy as Todd Terry plays a special acid set in the Acid House, Sneak and Cajmere return as do Solomun and H.O.S.H. and Miguel Campbell makes another welcome addition, while there is a Wolf & lamb experience in Spektrum and a special guest in the Basement.
Sneak and Mark Farina took to the decks in Vancouver back in May as part of the Nordic Trax label’s 15th Anniversary celebrations. Scene In The Dark have a great review, which we’ve re-blogged here in it’s entirety alongside some videos, photos and a live recording!
A rare treat here – a video of Sneak’s entire set from the Zoo Project Festival at Port Lympne Wild Park on 15th September 2012.
It wasn’t long however till the main room really took off and it could have only meant one thing; Sneak had arrived, was on stage and was dropping his first tune of the night – a jacking remix of the 90s classic, ‘I’ve Got The Power’. As Sneak and Doc worked their way through a memorable six hour, back-to-back, 4 deck set, they took in everything from the classic US sound to darker, deeper, tribal records. Just a few that made it into my recollection of the night include; Black Science Orchestra’s ‘NewJersey Deep’, Flashmob’s ‘Brick House’ and a bouncing remix of MGMT’s ‘Electric Feel’ – all met with a plethora of fist pumps and woops from the crowd.

Episode 4 of the Budcast is hot off the press, recorded on March 1st at the I'm A House Gangster eve…
DJ Sneak is in the hot seat for DJ Mag’s latest ’60 seconds with…’ interview, talking Miami WMC and REAL house music.
What does WMC mean to you now?
“Wow, I guess a place to get together with people who you usually speak to all year with computers and Skype. A place where you meet your mates and people you work with. You hang out, have a few parties, enjoy the weather… right now in Toronto it’s -15 with some blizzard weather going on, so Miami doesn’t sound so bad round about now.” (more…)

Following yesterday’s update about DJ Sneak being interviewed by The Sun newspaper, he’s back in Britain’s favourite daily again! This time Terry Farley chats to Sneak (and a number of other DJs) ahead of the We Are FSTVL event coming up in May.
Read Sneak’s responses below, and the full article here.
How was 2012 for you?
2012 was a great year indeed, I had an amazing run with loads of gigs & music released plus remix work. I think all around it was a well-balanced year and a very successful one, but nothing could have topped the last day of 2012, on December 31st I welcomed my son to the word! What better way to end the year than with the birth of a happy and healthy baby. I am feeling very blessed. (more…)

Sublevel rings in 2013 with a statement of intent, dropping two stand-out remixes of a house classic. Enlisting the sweet vocal talents of Lilia, Sublevel label head Doc Martin provides a pumping organ-laced take on Johnny Dangerously’s ‘Emerald City’ which is guaranteed to get any floor rocking. On the flip, the original house gangster DJ Sneak does what he does best and injects his signature tracky house sound. A must have release from two house music aficionados! Shop at Beatport.
Sneak’s remix of ‘Fall’s Away’ by Fur Coat featuring Mel Blatt (of All Saints fame) also dropped in February on Crosstown Rebels. Check it at Beatport.
