Does Green Mountain Gringo accept product or improvement suggestions?It is our corporate policy not to accept samples, advertising ideas, packaging suggestions, new product ideas and/or improvement suggestions from outside our company. This policy serves to avoid the confusion of ownership that could arise should our Team be already engaged in the development of something similar to the concept submitted. Information submitted to us will be treated as non-proprietary and non-confidential. Any suggestions and/or samples submitted become the property of TW Garner Food Company and may or may not be used by us.
Where is Green Mountain Gringo Located?
Our production facilities are currently located in Winston-Salem, NC.

Product Information
Is Gringo Salsa GMO-free?Yes. All our our produce and the corn used in our Tortilla Strips are certified GMO-free - no genetically modified ingredients.
Are the Jalapeno and Serrano Peppers in GMG salsa affected by the salmonella outbreak?
No.
The Jalapeno and Serrano Peppers used in our Green Mountain Gringo Salsas are cooked. The same holds true for all of our vegetables and herbs. As stated in USA Today (Thursday, July 10, 2008, Page 1A): ''Canned, bottled or jarred ..peppers are not a risk because the canning and bottling process kills the salmonella bacteria.''
Also, from the CDC Website on Salmonella:
Salmonella live in the intestinal tracts of humans and other animals, including birds. Salmonella are usually transmitted to humans by eating foods contaminated with animal feces. Contaminated foods usually look and smell normal. Contaminated foods are often of animal origin, such as beef, poultry, milk, or eggs, but any food, including vegetables, may become contaminated. Thorough cooking kills Salmonella.

Is Gringo Salsa part of any tomato recalls?
No.
Rest assured that our product is NOT part of any tomato recall. Our product is fully cooked. Our tomatoes are aseptically packed at the time of harvest (which in the case of what we are using now was last year). For us, this year's crop is not yet Ripe and ready to harvest.
For clarity's sake, The definition of ''aseptic'':
aseptic ( -s p t k, -s p t k) Free of microorganisms that cause disease.

Where can I buy Gringo products?
You'll find Green Mountain Gringo Salsa & Tortilla Strips in many Natural, Health and Specialty Food stores. We are also in numerous grocery stores. If you can't find Gringo in your local markets, use our feedback form to let us know where you are and we'll be happy to help you locate a store in your area. Please ask for Green Mountain Gringo by name if you don't see it in the salsa aisle. Sometimes it's in the "natural" section or the deli.
