At Virginia Sportsmedicine Institute (VSI) we treat all patients from recreational to professional athletes with care, compassion and expertise. VSI was founded in 1974 as one of the first sports medicine facilities in the United States.

Our 4000 square foot facility houses a vast array of the most current rehabilitative equipment and is staffed by the area's leading physical therapists. All therapists are registered and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health Professionals. The staff has extensive experience in treating orthopedic and sports medicine injuries. Virginia Sportsmedicine Institute has a medical team consisting of physical therapists, all with Master's or Clinical Doctoral level degrees. In addition, our clinic has Physical Therapist Assistants with Associate Degrees many of whom have more than fifteen years of clinical experience. spacer The final component of our rehabilitative team consists of gym technicians who are trained extensively on the proper use of our gym equipment as well as the appropriate technique for prescribed exercises. We have worked with a wide range of patients ranging from the professional to the everyday recreational athlete. We also treat non-athletic injuries and geriatrics patients. At Virginia Sportsmedicine Institute, we pride ourselves on almost 40 years of excellent patient care and quality service.
