6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end Chance Sorrell will be in Lincoln on Wednesday. “I will be there just for the day because I am hitting four schools that week. Monday I go to Purdue, Tuesday I go to Michigan, Wednesday at Nebraska and Thursday I have to be at Ohio State,” said Sorrell.

6-foot-6, 270-pound Arrowhead (Wisc.) defensive lineman Billy Hirschfeld will be in Nebraska for the Spring Game. "Coach (John) Garrison, coach (Tim) Beck and coach (Barney) Cotton always message me on Facebook and send me videos on spring practice and are always asking how I'm doing," Hirschfeld said. "I think we have a good close connection with each other."

Arrion Springs is a defensive back name picking up steam in Texas this spring. Springs, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound defensive back from Roosevelt (Texas) High School in San Antonio, recently picked up offers from Oregon State and Oklahoma State. He also picked up an offer earlier in March from Nebraska.

Wichita (Kan.) Northwest running back Deron Thompson has speed to burn and schools have started to take notice. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Thompson has been offered by Kansas State already and schools such as Kansas, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Tulsa, and most recently Nebraska have been in contact. While the interest has been picking up Thompson is taking things in stride.

Don't pigeonhole Kaleb McGary as a lineman because he's tall and weighs more than just about anyone else on the football field. Players just don't have McGary's combination of size and speed making him a highly sought after recruit for 2014.
