HA Databases

High-Availability’s RSF-1 Cluster supports most popular databases and provides a range of cluster monitoring and failover agents to improve the overall availability of a wide variety of system components, infrastructure and applications. RSF-1 agents interrogate the database directly to ensure not only that the database server is running, but that data can be written to and subsequently read from the database direct. This is in effect an additional heartbeat through the database itself.

Database Agents

RSF-1 has database monitoring and failover agents for most popular databases, including: Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, Ingres, Informix, MariaDB, MaxDB, Postgres, Progress and DB2.

Database failover can be configured with shared-storage or replicated mechanisms and where supported, in a Master-Master configuration (e.g. MySQL).
