HARRY BARKEMA AT THE TATA INNOVISTA CHALLENGE
On June 1st, 2009, Tata’s Innovista challenge took place at the London Holiday Inn.
The top 30 innovation teams of the various Tata companies (e.g. Corus, TCS, Landrover, Jaguar, Tetley Tea, Tata Steel) competed in London for Tata’s annual innovation award in various categories. During the day, the teams competed under the eyes of Tata’s leadership and the panel. The competition ended with a gala dinner with TATA top managers from Europe and Mumbai.
Professor Harry Barkema, Executive Director of the Innovation Co-Creation Lab, was invited as an external judge. After each presentation he challenged the project groups on the strengths and weaknesses of their innovation projects. He also had to rank the projects (together with two other external judges from the energy and consulting industries) in order to determine which teams got prizes in various categories.
