The Petties is DogTime Media’s annual awards show that recognizes the best of the pet blogging community. Through this program DogTime has donated over $50,000 to shelters and rescues across the nation.
The Petties is one of several programs that DogTime Media has to help give back to the animal community.

Animal rescue is one of the most rewarding activities in which a human being can participate, and at the same time one of the most challenging and painful. To see a once homeless and frightened animal become a beloved family member brings immeasurable happiness. Losing an innocent animal, regardless of the reason, brings sadness and distress to the rescuer.
This world is filled with unpaid, unsung heroes, the animal rescuers and rehabilitators. I understand their struggles, joy, and heartbreak, and I salute all of these beautiful and unselfish souls with the highest admiration and respect.
