The Gods of Gotham by Lyndsay Faye is the April pick for the Park Road Books Book Club. Timothy Wilde begins a job in the brand-new NYC Police Department in 1845. When a young girl comes to him covered in blood and claiming dozens of bodies are buried in the forest north of 23rd Street, Timothy fights a reluctant battle against a brutish killer, caught up in the city's anti-Irish rage. Book club participants will receive 20% off the $16.00 price.
The Park Road Books Book Club is held at the store on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Stop by April 2nd and join in the discussion.
The Park Road Books Foodie Book Club will be reading An Everlasting Meal as their book club book for February. In this meditation on cooking and eating, Tamar Adler weaves philosophy and instruction into approachable lessons on feeding ourselves well. Book club participants will receive 20% off the $15.00 price.
